Job Requirements of Mailroom Delivery Specialist:
SPECIFICATIONS:
Knowledge – High school diploma or GED in related field or equivalent training or experience required. Requires thorough understanding of delivering mail, document processing, and valid driver’s license.
Skills/Abilities - Requires organizational, computer document processing skills. Must possess excellent communication (i.e., written and verbal) skills and have the ability to work with a broad range of customers while maintaining cultural sensitivity and confidentiality. Must possess demonstrated conflict resolution skills. Ability to participate in and assume responsibility for on-the-job training.
Experience - Minimum of two years’ experience in a direct lead or supervisory position with a strong mailroom customer service background or prior experience as a mailroom or documentation required. Background/training in health-related field/managed care industry preferred.
Exertional Level – Medium work - some sitting, standing, walking, lifting 50lbs, reaching, squatting, and kneeling is required occasionally. 75 % travel driving company van.

Mailroom Delivery Specialist
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Pick up and deliver incoming and outgoing mail and packages between the business location and local post office on a scheduled basis
• Process, print, scan postage statements
• Ensure timely and secure transport of sensitive and confidential documents
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pick-ups, and postage usage
• Sort, organize, and distribute internal mail upon return to the office
• Monitor and replenish postage supplies as needed, coordinating with the appropriate departments
• Communicate with postal staff to resolve mailing issues, delays, or special service needs
• Adhere to all company and postal regulations regarding handling of mail and packages
• Perform basic tracking of mail using postal or internal tracking systems • Ensure proper handling and delivery of time-sensitive and priority mail
• Report on vehicle maintenance needs if using a company vehicle for deliveries
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while representing the company externally
